There are a lot of problems with the way DUIs are handled – not least, unreliability of breathalyzers and the inability of the accused to save a sample of their breath, which might prove their innocence in court.
But for this woman, all that mattered was that she had the power to arrest people, innocent and guilty alike. Even her own lawyer admits that she arrested people without evidence.
We have idiotic No Tolerance policies at schools – how about applying the same standard to the “professionals,” who are adults charged with upholding the law? Do police really get more leeway than elementary school children?
